About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as an emerging technical leader within the engineering team
- Own complex development efforts while mentoring other engineers, improving engineering processes, and ensuring successful delivery
- Design, develop, and maintain complex user-facing applications using Angular, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Translate Figma designs into responsive, accessible interfaces using established Design System components
- Lead development of reusable UI components and evolve the Design System across multiple applications
- Develop, maintain, and improve automated UI testing using Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks
- Ensure frontend implementations meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex production issues
- Participate in on-call rotations and improve application monitoring and observability
- Mentor Software Engineers I and II through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with backend engineers, QA, UX designers, Product Managers, and stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degree
- Advanced experience developing modern web applications using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Experience implementing complex user interfaces from Figma or comparable design tools
- Experience building reusable component libraries and working within enterprise Design Systems
- Strong experience with automated UI testing using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks
- Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and accessible frontend development practices
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services
- Experience with Git/GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development workflows
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex frontend issues across development, testing, and production environments
- Experience mentoring engineers and conducting technical code reviews
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within Agile software development teams
