About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as an emerging technical leader within the engineering team
Own complex development efforts while mentoring other engineers, improving engineering processes, and ensuring successful delivery
Design, develop, and maintain complex user-facing applications using Angular, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
Translate Figma designs into responsive, accessible interfaces using established Design System components
Lead development of reusable UI components and evolve the Design System across multiple applications
Develop, maintain, and improve automated UI testing using Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks
Ensure frontend implementations meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex production issues
Participate in on-call rotations and improve application monitoring and observability
Mentor Software Engineers I and II through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing
Collaborate with backend engineers, QA, UX designers, Product Managers, and stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degree
Advanced experience developing modern web applications using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Experience implementing complex user interfaces from Figma or comparable design tools
Experience building reusable component libraries and working within enterprise Design Systems
Strong experience with automated UI testing using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks
Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and accessible frontend development practices
Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services
Experience with Git/GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development workflows
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex frontend issues across development, testing, and production environments
Experience mentoring engineers and conducting technical code reviews
Strong communication and collaboration skills within Agile software development teams
