About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead daily manufacturing operations in a high-volume production environment
- Supervise 20–30 hourly employees
- Drive safety, quality, and productivity performance according to Lean principles, standard work, and customer requirements
- Determine daily manpower and work assignments based on production demand
- Approve payroll and administer corrective actions and discipline as needed
- Support assigned-shift and weekend manufacturing operations when required without additional management support
- Ensure production objectives are achieved through manpower planning, Lean principles, and customer requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably high-volume cellular manufacturing
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a production environment
- Experience in problem solving, communication, and conflict resolution
- High degree of comfort using computers
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
- Ability to stand for 10–12 hours per day
- Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work in a noisy environment and tolerate temperatures from 40°F to 90°F
- Ability to work other shifts and/or weekend hours
- Travel requirements of 0–20%
- Preferred: technical degree or Bachelor's degree
- Preferred: experience with Lean principles, Kaizen, and continuous improvement events
