About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead daily manufacturing operations in a high-volume production environment
Supervise 20–30 hourly employees
Drive safety, quality, and productivity performance according to Lean principles, standard work, and customer requirements
Determine daily manpower and work assignments based on production demand
Approve payroll and administer corrective actions and discipline as needed
Support assigned-shift and weekend manufacturing operations when required without additional management support
Ensure production objectives are achieved through manpower planning, Lean principles, and customer requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably high-volume cellular manufacturing
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a production environment
Experience in problem solving, communication, and conflict resolution
High degree of comfort using computers
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
Ability to stand for 10–12 hours per day
Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
Ability to work in a noisy environment and tolerate temperatures from 40°F to 90°F
Ability to work other shifts and/or weekend hours
Travel requirements of 0–20%
Preferred: technical degree or Bachelor's degree
Preferred: experience with Lean principles, Kaizen, and continuous improvement events
