About the role
- AIS serves multiple market segments throughout its worldwide business divisions.
- Reporting to the Senior Director of Solution Architecture, the Solutions Architect (Lead) position is a high-impact subject matter expert who partners with prospects, customers and cross-functional teams to drive adoption of our Atrius Spatial Intelligence software stack, with a focus on the aviation and smart building sectors.
- The Solutions Architect leads technical scoping and solution design, aligning our Spatial Intelligence offerings—including Indoor Maps & Wayfinding, Indoor Positioning, and related technologies—with client needs across Europe, Middle East and Asia.
- Working closely with sales, product, engineering, and customer success, this role ensures effective solution integration and deployment.
- As a change agent, the Solutions Architect will shape scalable models and processes to support business growth and customer acquisition within the region.
- We’re seeking candidates with a strong background in technical architecture, systems integration, and customer-facing solution delivery.
- Experience in mobile app development, SaaS platforms, and a track record in the aviation or smart building sectors is highly desirable.

Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in solutions architecture, systems integration, or technical consulting, IoT, or smart infrastructure sectors.
- Proven expertise in indoor positioning, location services, or mobile navigation technologies.
- Knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) and infraless indoor positioning systems
- Experience designing and supporting mobile applications on: iOS (Swift or Objective-C) Android (Java or Kotlin)
- Proficiency in RESTful APIs and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with edge computing, digital twins, and AI-driven automation
- Strong written communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in aviation, geospatial technologies, or smart building environments (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, HVAC/R technologies, or a related field
- Fluency in English required; another European language, such as French, German, other is a plus
- Familiarity with BMS platforms such as Distech, Niagara, or Schneider Electric and knowledge of protocols like BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, is a plus but not required.
- Travel Requirements Travel, up to 50%, may be required to meet with customers, prospects, attend industry events, or visit project sites.
