About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the technical direction of a high impact AI engineering team
- Design and deliver cloud native, container first services
- Partner with architects and key stakeholders on architecture
- Take AI enabled capabilities from proof-of-concept to production
- Write high-quality Python code and define engineering standards
- Drive good engineering practices across code quality and cloud operations
- Guide technical trade-offs and prioritization
- Play a central role in hiring and onboarding
- Mentor and coach engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in software engineering
- Proven technical leadership in a delivery team
- Strong Python engineering skills including maintainable OOP design, typing, asynchronous programming
- Experience designing and building REST APIs
- Prior cloud experience with Azure preferred
- Container and Kubernetes experience
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong quality mindset including unit/integration testing
- Familiar with Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
