About the role
- Identify and develop relationships with Consultants, General Contractors, Developers and Property Owners
- Work with Distech Controls’ System Integrator base and Acuity Brands Lighting Agency to cultivate relationships
- Identify projects in various stages of development within Phoenix, Denver, and Las Vegas metro areas
- Generate leads through lunch-and-learns, cold calls and networking events
- Assist with estimating controls projects and prepare proposals
- Coordinate involvement of company personnel including support, service and management resources to meet growth objectives
- Promote Distech in the market and work with Consulting Engineers and Architects
- Actively participate in local professional organizations and various project management activities
- Maintain accurate tracking of leads and opportunities utilizing the CRM
- Achieve assigned sales quota, meet profitability expectations, and complete client account plans that meet company standards
Requirements
- Must currently reside in Colorado, Arizona, Utah or Las Vegas
- Four years University or College degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of HVAC and/or Building Automation System sales management
- Sales management experience in a business-to-business environment, partnering with Engineers and Architects
- Existing relationships with General Contractors, Consultants and Developers is a plus
- Ability to assist with estimating controls projects and proposal writing
- Technical aptitude to discuss HVAC, BAS, IT, Fiber Networks and Lighting Controls
- Exceptional written, oral communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle various priorities
- Personal computer proficiency and excels in MS Office Applications
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid passport
- Ability to travel
- May require maintaining a home-based office
- Experience selling technically complex controls products through a variety of distribution channels
