About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for effective management and execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of production machinery and facility support equipment.
Responsible for the direct supervision of Maintenance Department staff and coordination of all contracted vendors.
Maintain security and safety of all contractors.
Ensure facility safety and security.
Ensure operator safety.
Maintain production machinery and facility equipment in a high operational readiness condition.
Ensure pollution control equipment and emissions are compliant.
Ensure level of knowledge, skills, and proficiency of maintenance mechanics is maintained at a high level.
Minimize maintenance and utility costs.
Manage the maintenance workforce of 14-18 direct reports, supporting a 24/7 operation.
Ensure safe work environment by enforcing general safety policies and procedures to be followed by plant personnel in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent
6+ years of manufacturing experience
5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing and mentoring a team of hourly and salaried associates
Proven conflict resolution skills with the ability to manage difficult conversations and resolve issues constructively
