About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Produce manufacturing, assembly, and installation drawings
Work with the ERP system (enterprise resource planning) and create bills of materials (BOM)
Manage the BOM hierarchy/tree
Design sheet metal parts, cast aluminum components, and welded assemblies
3D modeling
Develop production tools (e.g., jigs/fixtures)
Ensure compliance with UL, CSA and other standards
Provide production support.

Requirements

What you’ll need

2 to 5 years' experience with a DEC (Diplôme d'études collégiales) in Mechanical Engineering Technology or other relevant training
Relevant experience in mechanical engineering drafting (an asset)
Proficiency in conventional CAD software: AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Familiarity with MS Office and Adobe software
Ability to visualize and model in 3D
