About the role
- Implement Lean manufacturing tools in assembly cells to improve productivity.
- 5S cells - Establish 2bin system, label each bin and bin location, tool locations etc.
- 5S - Create shadow foam boards for tools.
- Upgrade cell Layouts to improve POU, create one piece flow and reduce wastes.
- Conduct time studies to create/update SW documentation, CTQ’s.
- Integrate traceability system capabilities to the Smart EOL (end of line) testers.
- Space consolidation projects to optimize production space and increase production floor footprint for projected future business.
- Participate in Kaizen Events
- Work with Manufacturing Engineers and provide support on productivity improvement projects.
- Training on PDS process and Support New Product Introductions.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineers to create capacity plan in each area.
- Projects on OOB (out of box) quality claims reduction: Collect the data from dashboard and analyze it.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineers to create impactful action plans (RCCM) to address OOB quality claims.
- Measure and Analyze Internal Quality Issues.
Requirements
- Relevant internship or project experience
- A minimum GPA of 3.0
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Experience leading teams or organizations
