About the role
- Serve as the primary point of contact for distributor accounts; conduct proactive outreach via phone, email, and in-person visits to build relationships, identify sales opportunities, develop growth plans, and execute promotions, programs, and product positioning strategies.
- Oversee quoting, order entry, and post-sales facilitation including warranty resolution. Ensure customer expectations are met and that operational processes are executed efficiently.
- Manage and coach inside sales associate(s), providing clear direction, performance feedback, mentoring, and professional development support.
- Work closely with Marketing, Customer Experience, Product, Supply Chain, and Finance to leverage campaigns, collateral, promotions, and product launches. Ensure seamless customer experience.
- Maintain accurate activity tracking, reporting, and performance metrics in Salesforce. Provide regular updates on account status, sales opportunities, and team performance.
- Train customers on tools and products to make them more productive.
Requirements
- 5+ years of sales, account management, or channel development experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated leadership or team management experience with a proven ability to coach and develop talent
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results
- Strong influencing, relationship-building, and presentation skills
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience using CRM systems and digital customer platforms
- Ability to lead through change and drive adoption of new tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field required
