About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and training; conduct risk assessments and JHAs.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
- Monitor compliance with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and state/local regulations; manage required reporting.
- Lead the development, implementation, and documentation of safety-related programs and practices required for ACA accreditation, ensuring all EHS components meet or exceed applicable audit standards.
- Coordinate industrial hygiene sampling, hazard communication, and PPE programs.
- Chair the Safety Committee; analyze leading/lagging indicators and present to leadership.
- Plan and lead emergency drills in coordination with Security and Medical.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in safety, engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of EHS experience; heavy industrial preferred.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) required or obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Additional credentials (CHST, CIH, ASP) and ICS/NIMS training preferred.
- Must have undergone a federal investigation at the level of Tier 2 or higher.
