About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and training; conduct risk assessments and JHAs.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
Monitor compliance with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and state/local regulations; manage required reporting.
Lead the development, implementation, and documentation of safety-related programs and practices required for ACA accreditation, ensuring all EHS components meet or exceed applicable audit standards.
Coordinate industrial hygiene sampling, hazard communication, and PPE programs.
Chair the Safety Committee; analyze leading/lagging indicators and present to leadership.
Plan and lead emergency drills in coordination with Security and Medical.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in safety, engineering, or related field.
5+ years of EHS experience; heavy industrial preferred.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) required or obtained within 12 months of hire.
Additional credentials (CHST, CIH, ASP) and ICS/NIMS training preferred.
Must have undergone a federal investigation at the level of Tier 2 or higher.
