About the role

  • Primary Function Responsible for supervising armed guards and ensuring perimeter and high-risk area security in compliance with ICE standards.
  • All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which Acuity International is recognized.
  • Actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission and values.
  • Responsibilities Oversee armed guard teams across all shifts
  • Monitor use of force protocols and weapons handling
  • Coordinate detainee transport and external security operations
  • Train staff on tactical response and emergency procedures
  • Patrol facility perimeter and secure entry/exit points
  • Escort detainees during external movements
  • Respond to security breaches and emergencies
  • Maintain weapons and tactical gear readiness
  • Provides direction and guidance to staff
  • Implements emergency plans and achieves rapid recovery of program support services in the event of an emergency, natural disaster, or other calamity
  • Enforce safety standards, risk monitoring, and risk management

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Homeland Security, or a related field
  • 3–5 years in armed security, military police, or law enforcement; 1–2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Familiarity with ICE Performance-Based National Detention Standards (PBNDS)
  • Familiarity with detainee transport protocols, perimeter security, and emergency response procedures.
  • Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain favorable background investigations
  • Must be proficient in English; able to receive and understand detailed information through oral and written communication .
  • Must be proficient with computers, common office equipment, and MS Office suite.
  • Meet the requirements of the contract for all immunizations.
  • Must be able to work full time hours, weekends , and holidays .
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident, Resided in the US for 3 years in the past 5 years.
  • Preferred Qualifications Law enforcement or military background preferred ORR or ICE experience
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Active firearms certification (e.g., HR-218, state POST), Use of Force, and defensive tactics.
  • Bilingual
  • Has undergone a federal investigation at the level of Tier 2 or higher; has been granted favorable suitability/eligibility and has not had a break in service for more than 24 months.
