About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the assigned health care programs within a detention setting
Ensure safe, timely, and equitable delivery of medical, behavioral health, dental, and pharmacy services
Oversee clinical governance, quality and safety, staffing, compliance, and budget
Ensure adherence to government regulations, contractual requirements, and accreditation standards
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management of medical and support staff
Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure proper allocation of medical resources
Develop and maintain quality improvement, patient safety, infection control, and risk management programs
Act as the primary point of contact with the government customer, prime contractor, and detention facility leadership
Coordinate emergency medical response planning, drills, and continuity of operations
Ensure accurate and timely submission of reports, incident documentation, and statistical data

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare administration
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare management systems (EHR, scheduling, inventory)
Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, detention facility healthcare standards, and government contracting compliance
Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, resided in the U.S. for 3 years in the past 5 years
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must complete all required training
