About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the assigned health care programs within a detention setting
  • Ensure safe, timely, and equitable delivery of medical, behavioral health, dental, and pharmacy services
  • Oversee clinical governance, quality and safety, staffing, compliance, and budget
  • Ensure adherence to government regulations, contractual requirements, and accreditation standards
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management of medical and support staff
  • Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure proper allocation of medical resources
  • Develop and maintain quality improvement, patient safety, infection control, and risk management programs
  • Act as the primary point of contact with the government customer, prime contractor, and detention facility leadership
  • Coordinate emergency medical response planning, drills, and continuity of operations
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of reports, incident documentation, and statistical data

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare management systems (EHR, scheduling, inventory)
  • Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, detention facility healthcare standards, and government contracting compliance
  • Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, resided in the U.S. for 3 years in the past 5 years
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must complete all required training
