About the role
- Lead and mentor a team of product designers, guiding craft, confidence, and career development
- Champion and evolve the design system to enhance efficiency, accessibility, and consistency across product experiences
- Scale AI-native design practices and encourage use of AI for prototyping and ideation
- Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to align design with strategic priorities and business outcomes
- Review usability insights and customer feedback to drive data-informed user experiences
- Manage project timelines, balance team capacity, and drive operational excellence
- Architect scalable design frameworks and ensure consistent multi-journey experiences across the platform
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product design
- 2+ years of experience mentoring or managing a product design or design systems team
- Proven expertise in building or evolving design systems, including components, tokens, accessibility standards, and governance models
- Developing fluency in emerging AI-native design tools
- Direct experience designing for platform complexity, scalability, and multi-journey consistency in a SaaS environment
- Strategic systems thinking connecting business strategy and user needs into scalable design frameworks
- Strong operational skills to manage complex projects
- Exceptional communication skills and commitment to inclusive design
