Manage and maintain workforce, including staffing, training, planning, and overseeing operations and fiscal health
Ensure the health and safety of the workforce and adhere to company safety procedures
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment and supplies and ensure vehicles/tools/equipment are clean, safe and properly working
Monitor productivity levels through staffing and financial requirements
Develop employee-oriented company culture emphasizing quality, continuous improvement, retention, development and high performance
Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding
Follow fleet standards and vehicle operating policies and control maintenance and repair of vehicles
Train personnel on safety and accident prevention programs
Collaborate with management to formulate departmental goals, strategies, policies and implement approved changes
Prepare department forecasts, monitor expenses, and maintain records and reports related to meter reading
Complete quality control audits on field personnel monthly and make recommendations on employment actions
Provide written communication on economy/efficiency, quality control performance, production/personnel scheduling, and client relationships
Work with Human Resources to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ an appropriate number of employees
Refer consumer complaints to appropriate authorities and ensure timely resolution acceptable to clients
Requirements
High School Degree/GED (minimum)
1 year of leadership experience in management or supervisory roles
3 years of experience in gas meter exchanges and pilot relights or similar natural gas operations experience
Must be willing to travel up to 70% of the time managing multiple projects across the US
Ability to become a proctor and evaluator for operator qualifications required to perform natural gas meter exchanges and relights
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Preferred: 2 or more years of management experience
Preferred: 3 years of experience in water, gas, and electric meter installation project management
Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as a team
Strong knowledge with Microsoft 360 (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
Ability to interact with unhappy or negative customers in a professional manner
Physical requirements: remain stationary for long periods, repeat motions of wrists/hands/fingers, lift/move objects up to 50 lbs, stand/walk/reach/stoop/kneel/crouch
