About the role

  • Provide expertise in safety and health to help prevent and reduce employee injuries and illnesses
  • Support clients and their field management in developing effective safety programs
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies
  • Anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and work practices
  • Conduct safety program needs assessments to identify deficiencies and recommend actions
  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Facilitate and document required safety training for employees, supervisors, and temporary workers
  • Conduct safety meetings and training programs for client employees
  • Assist with branch, facility, field, and job‑site safety inspections
  • Perform job hazard analyses to identify workplace hazards
  • Coach and guide employees and management on safety compliance and safe work practices
  • Participate in client safety initiatives and meetings
  • Investigate and document incidents involving employees or company property
  • Support OSHA recordkeeping requirements and safety incentive programs
  • Travel and stay overnight as required (up to 50%)

Requirements

  • In-depth safety and loss control knowledge with hands-on field experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to clearly communicate safety concepts verbally and in writing
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk and recommend practical solutions
  • Ability to prepare clear, formal incident and investigation reports
  • Experience reviewing and staying current on OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Comfortable working independently, managing changing priorities, and maintaining strong client relationships
  • OSHA 500 & 501 Authorized Outreach Trainer (required)
  • 5+ years of related experience in Safety and Loss Control
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
  • Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) preferred
