About the role
- Design and maintain enterprise-wide security architecture frameworks spanning on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
- Define and enforce security-by-design principles across new projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and regulatory standards
- Develop and maintain zero trust and defense-in-depth strategies tailored to modern workloads, remote users, and dynamic infrastructure
- Lead security architecture reviews and threat modeling for major projects, new applications, and emerging technologies
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to embed security and privacy controls into data pipelines, models, and deployment environments
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve detection, response, and compliance
- Serve as technical security lead on cross-functional initiatives, balancing strategic security objectives with agile project timelines
- Guide and mentor security engineers in best practices for architecture, configuration, and monitoring
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 in an architect-level role
- Proven expertise in on-prem and multi-cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong understanding of network security, systems security, application security, and zero trust frameworks
- Familiarity with AI/ML platforms and data governance/security in AI workflows
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Architect, or GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer
- Experience with container security (Kubernetes, Docker) and serverless environments
- Exposure to regulatory frameworks (NYDFS, NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
