About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage Retail Service Merchandiser/Lead Merchandiser teams in the assigned geographic area
- Interview, hire, onboard, train, coach, and support associates
- Manage performance, career development, conflicts, and personnel issues
- Develop knowledge of the company business model, client and customer expectations, and project work processes
- Work in the field periodically and provide backup support for project work
- Manage assigned project work to completion, on time, and with high-quality results
- Review schedules and documentation, assign work, monitor progress, audit projects, solve problems, adjust resources, and ensure delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment
- Partner with store personnel and teams to achieve merchandising excellence and meet goals
- Report observations, issues, and business solutions to the Market Manager
- Use web-based applications and retail reporting systems to manage project notifications, documentation, profiles, assignments, progress, mileage, expenses, time, attendance, and training
- Prepare, process, submit, and manage project and team documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of management and/or supervisory experience
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision making, and leadership skills
- Ability to read and communicate effectively with others
- Proficiency in web-based applications, email, word processing, and spreadsheet applications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for extended periods
- Ability to operate a computer, paper cutter, copier, hammer, screwdriver, drill, case cutter, hand truck, and pallet jack
- Ability to climb and stand on a step stool or ladder
