About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver principals’ volume, share, and sales fundamental goals, including merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving, while maximizing company revenue.
- Communicate principals’ priorities to Retail Sales Managers, Sales Technology Managers, Marketing Managers, Business Managers, and the retail selling organization.
- Report directly to the General Manager or Team Leader.
- Manage and participate in the development, design, and presentation of Acosta’s introduction to new principals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with principals and customers.
- Coordinate communication between General Managers and key principals.
- Collaborate with Retail Sales Managers on new product introductions, selling drives, and contests.
- Coordinate principals’ market visits and key account calls.
- Develop conceptual sales presentations that deliver principals’ objectives.
- Provide feedback on principals’ strategies, selling programs, and initiatives.
- Maintain current account distribution information and review market pricing reports.
- Collect and report competitive activity.
- Manage a personal skill development plan and share customer/manufacturer information with team members.
- Ensure client procedures and policies are followed.
- Manage promotional plans and fund balances in client proprietary systems.
- Monitor and take corrective action in financial management matters, such as deductions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Proven track record in sales; preferably with a food broker or national company.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills.
- Ability to analyze sales and marketing information for effective sales presentations.
- Proficiency in software packages used to support the sales function.
- Willingness to travel.
