About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver principals’ objectives for volume, merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving at assigned customer accounts
  • Develop a comprehensive Customer Business Plan aligned with principals’ priorities
  • Call on customer decision-makers to present and sell business plans, programs, and concepts
  • Achieve results at the lowest selling cost and oversee manufacturers’ expenditures
  • Ensure competitively superior in-store presence across assigned stores
  • Manage manufacturers’ trade marketing funds and process direct shipments
  • Operate within designated budgets
  • Maintain communication with key principals
  • Collaborate with Retail Sales Managers on product introductions, selling drives, and contests
  • Use customer, market, and principal knowledge to engage marketing, technology, and administrative resources
  • Share selling priorities and customer/principal insights with managers, supervisors, and team members
  • Use computer systems and Acosta communication systems to achieve business-plan objectives
  • Provide operational-improvement feedback to the Team Leader and/or General Manager
  • Complete special projects as requested

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant industry
  • At least six months of experience in retail (CPG), marketing, space management, or resets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and web-based applications
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Sales administration or finance experience preferred
