About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, sell, and execute strategic sales plans for assigned CPG accounts, with a focus on expanding current client relationships and increasing program adoption.
- Prospect, research, and cultivate new business opportunities with CPG manufacturers, brand teams, and agency partners.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior-level decision-makers, positioning in-store display and marketing solutions as valuable growth drivers.
- Lead consultative sales discussions, uncover client objectives, and recommend program solutions that align with brand, shopper marketing, and retail goals.
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to support program planning, execution, issue resolution, and client follow-through.
- Participate in internal status, pipeline, and strategy meetings to align priorities, share market insights, and advance business opportunities.
- Mentor and support internal team members by sharing sales expertise, client knowledge, and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs and client success.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing, or a related field.
- Eight or more years of experience in a retail, merchandising, marketing, media sales, or CPG-focused environment.
- Three or more years of management or team leadership experience in a retail, merchandising, marketing, or sales environment.
- Demonstrated experience selling media, shopper marketing, in-store display, or consumer marketing programs to CPG companies and agency partners.
- Strong understanding of the CPG and retail industries, including the planning, decision-making, and budgeting processes that influence brand and agency investment.
- Proven sales success managing a sizeable and diverse book of business, ideally generating $3MM or more in annual personal sales.
- **Preferred Qualifications:**
- Established relationships and contacts within the CPG industry, particularly within HBC, OTC, food, and grocery categories.
- Solid knowledge of the grocery channel and experience working with major grocery retailers.
- Salesforce or CRM experience.
