About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Achieve Sales Goals: Deliver principals’ volume, share, and sales fundamental goals at the lowest possible cost while maximizing company revenue.
  • Strategic Communication: Communicate principals’ priorities to ensure in-store presence and business objectives are met.
  • Leadership and Reporting: Report directly to the General Manager or Team Leader, and participate in presentations.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with principals and customers.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate ongoing communication and collaborate on major retail initiatives.
  • Market Insight: Utilize knowledge of customer and market to successfully sell specific programs.
  • Strategic Utilization: Leverage insights to develop conceptual sales presentations for principals’ objectives.
  • Feedback and Improvement: Provide feedback on the effectiveness of strategies and suggest improvements.
  • Information Management: Maintain current account distribution information and report competitive activity.
  • Skill Development: Manage personal skill development plan and share information with team members.
  • Compliance and Financial Management: Ensure compliance with client procedures and manage financial aspects.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support overall success.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A proven track-record in sales; preferably with a food broker or national company.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales and marketing information needed to make effective sales presentations.
  • Proficient in a variety of software packages used to support the sales function.
  • Willing to travel (light local travel)
