About the role

  • Analyze retail data using tools such as Cognos, IRI, Nielsen, Spectra, and POS systems to support client competitiveness and market strategy
  • Interpret complex datasets and translate them into clear, actionable business insights and operational requirements
  • Recommend process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and proposing enhanced procedures
  • Create and deliver compelling data visualizations that support decision-making and align with current visualization trends
  • Build ad hoc reports for cross-functional teams and leadership on a need basis
  • Continuously improve systems by evaluating current practices and designing innovative modifications
  • Collaborate with team members to share discoveries and drive process innovation across the organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 1–3 years of relevant work experience in data analysis or retail intelligence
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, graphs, macros, etc.)
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills using data
  • Experience with ACNielsen NITRO, IRI Xlerate, Spectra, and proprietary retail systems is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable working in Windows environments and using tools for word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, email, and database management
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work collaboratively in a team setting
  • Visual acuity and color perception required for data visualization and reporting tasks
