About the role
- Manage a portfolio of natural and specialty brands, acting as main point-of-contact for clients
- Partner with clients/manufacturers to create and execute promotional programs for retailers
- Meet with clients regularly to set sales goals, report progress, and problem-solve challenges
- Provide tools and analytics to retail selling teams and clients to achieve sales objectives
- Prepare and submit retailer new item and promotional paperwork by deadlines
- Present and gain approval for new items and attend meetings with key retail accounts and distributor headquarters
- Conduct regular line reviews with distributors and resolve order, set-up, and promotional issues with distributors
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- A proven track-record in sales; preferably with a food broker or national company
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills
- Ability to analyze sales and marketing information needed to make effective sales presentations
- Proficient in a variety of software packages used to support the sales function
- Willing to travel
- Experience selling to natural-channel retailers through distribution clients (e.g., UNFI, Kehe)
