About the role

  • Manage a portfolio of natural and specialty brands, acting as main point-of-contact for clients
  • Partner with clients/manufacturers to create and execute promotional programs for retailers
  • Meet with clients regularly to set sales goals, report progress, and problem-solve challenges
  • Provide tools and analytics to retail selling teams and clients to achieve sales objectives
  • Prepare and submit retailer new item and promotional paperwork by deadlines
  • Present and gain approval for new items and attend meetings with key retail accounts and distributor headquarters
  • Conduct regular line reviews with distributors and resolve order, set-up, and promotional issues with distributors

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • A proven track-record in sales; preferably with a food broker or national company
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills
  • Ability to analyze sales and marketing information needed to make effective sales presentations
  • Proficient in a variety of software packages used to support the sales function
  • Willing to travel
  • Experience selling to natural-channel retailers through distribution clients (e.g., UNFI, Kehe)
