About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The BSA will represent the business community and IT to solicit, analyze, document, and prioritize business processes, proactively identify opportunities for improvement and delivering a resolution.
Partner with all levels of the organization and external parties to understand and document business requirements, processes and workflows developing both written and visual depictions of requirements and process flows.
Work with developers to write functional and technical specifications that achieve those requirements.
Serve as a subject matter expert to the developers building those functions, and work with the QA team to test the developed functionality.
Negotiate agreements and commitments between business partners (internal and external) and IT from initial request and requirements gathering through to implementation, support, and maintenance.
Be the Business/SME liaison back to the business leadership or IT Staff to influence, manage change, and educate for priority setting to ensure business commitments and objectives are met.
Lead cross-functional work sessions with both the business and IT customers to capture stakeholder needs and required system requirements/features.
Collaborate with PM’s in creating the Project Charter, SLAs, and Statements of Work.
Evaluate the impact of potential software and process changes on the organization.
Lead development, documentation, and analysis of detailed functional and/or technical requirements.
Lead small to medium projects/change initiatives with Business, Vendors, and IT.

Requirements

What you’ll need

7 – 10 years of experience as a business analyst designing technical business processes with a strong understanding of application programming, database, and system design.
5+ years of experience in integrating applications in both On-prem and Cloud environments.
5+ years of experience of working in various sizes of application development/enhancement projects.
Expertise in business processes and technology solutions.
Experience in Programming environment - NET, Javascript frameworks, HTML 5/CSS.
Working knowledge in SQL and Oracle DB environment.
Experience in leveraging API’s.
Experience in UI design.
Experience in conducting various types of Testing and associated testing cycles.
Experience in ERP environment is a plus – Finance or HR in a distributed environment – Retail, Hospitality, Distribution, Warehousing.
Experience in working with packaged ERP applications like Oracle, Salesforce, SAP is a plus.
Good working knowledge of client server architectures.
Demonstrated strong background in preparing As-Is process documentation, To-Be process documentation, and performing detailed gap analysis.
Expertise in generating reports and dashboards measuring business KPIs.
Excellent communication and presentation skills (written & oral).
