About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct inquiries and negotiate prices and delivery schedules
- Execute orders and compare quotations
- Responsible for supplier selection, processing and evaluation
- Conduct annual negotiations with suppliers
- Continuous optimization through performance monitoring
- Ensure long-term and fair collaboration
- Ongoing market monitoring regarding new products and price developments
- Develop proposals for inventory stocking, component substitution and sell-off
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 3 years of demonstrable purchasing experience, preferably in a senior role
- Completed vocational training or a degree in business administration or a comparable field
- Strong affinity for technical processes and products
- Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken
- Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in MS Office
- Strong team skills and ability to collaborate across different hierarchical levels
- Flexibility and willingness to travel for business, with travel of approximately 10%
