About the role

  • Create, maintain and tune databases in SQL Server;
  • Analyze and optimize queries, stored procedures, functions and views;
  • Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks and propose improvements;
  • Work on resolving database-related incidents;
  • Create and maintain maintenance plan routines;
  • Support the development team in data modeling and the correct use of data;
  • Ensure the integrity, security and consistency of information;
  • Document structures, processes and database best practices.

Requirements

  • SQL Server (2016 or later);
  • SQL language, with a focus on complex queries;
  • Creation and maintenance of stored procedures, triggers, functions and views;
  • Relational data modeling;
  • Indexes, execution plans and query tuning;
  • Backup, restore and recovery;
  • Permission control and database security;
  • Basic knowledge of high availability and performance concepts;
  • Experience with tools such as SQL Server Management Studio;
  • Ability to analyze problems and devise practical solutions.
