About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the team by doing research, drafting scripts and paper edits, transcribing and reviewing interview footage, and editing videos.
  • Assist on shoots and interviews, participating in brainstorms and meetings.
  • Pitch topics and provide background research for podcast episodes.
  • Assist with remote and in-person episode tapings.
  • Edit podcast taping transcripts and prepare publish packaging for podcast episodes.
  • Research video topics, draft scripts, review and transcribe video footage.
  • Edit short videos for social media and help copyedit video content.
  • Assist with remote or in-person video recording sessions or photo shoots.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently matriculated undergraduate students or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Demonstrated interest in video production, photography, journalism, and storytelling.
  • Excellent writing and research skills.
  • Experience with video editing and experience working in an editorial environment preferred.
  • Able to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize.
