About the role
- Conduct legal research and legal writing (memos and portions of court submissions)
- Perform fact investigation
- Support DRP litigation work and integrated advocacy across priority areas
- Assist in preparation for and during court cases (depositions, oral argument, hearings, or trial)
- Participate in litigation, advocacy, and internal meetings and discussions
- Work alongside team to assist in strategic advocacy to advance litigation and integrated advocacy
Requirements
- Must be currently matriculated legal students enrolled at U.S. law schools
- Must have completed at least one year of law school before the internship commences
- Must be based in the U.S. for the entire duration of the internship
- Lawfully authorized to work required for stipend eligibility
- Excellent research skills, including conducting internet and legal database research
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writing
- Attention to detail, excellent organizing and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Initiative to see projects through to completion
- Full-time availability for 35 hour/week during 10-week summer internship (start May 26 or June 8)
- Stipend available for students lawfully authorized to work: $24/hour (stipends are taxed)
- Limited number of remote or hybrid intern positions
