Senior Solution Consultant
ACI WorldwideSenior Solution Consultant advising enterprise merchants on payment and fraud strategies for ACI Worldwide. Engaging with sales, product, and partners to drive value-led outcomes.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead strategic customer engagements across the full sales lifecycle, with a focus on fraud, risk, and payment optimization strategies
- Translate merchant challenges (e.g. fraud losses, false declines, conversion gaps) into data-driven value propositions and solution strategies
- Position ACI’s payment orchestration capabilities to enable smarter routing, decisioning, and performance optimization
- Define and articulate business outcomes, including: fraud reduction and risk mitigation, authorization uplift and revenue recovery, improved customer experience and checkout performance
- Conduct consultative discovery workshops, identifying key pain points across payments, fraud, and risk domains
- Design end-to-end solution approaches combining payments, fraud detection, and data intelligence
- Partner with Sales and Account teams to progress and win strategic deals
- Build compelling executive narratives, proposals, and ROI models
- Provide thought leadership on industry trends, including fraud evolution, regulatory impacts (e.g. PSD2/3), and payment innovation
- Collaborate with Product and Product Marketing to shape roadmap direction and market positioning based on customer insights
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–10+ years in one or more of the following domains: fraud & risk management (e.g. fraud detection, decisioning, chargebacks), payment intelligence / optimisation (e.g. authorisation uplift, routing strategies), merchant payments (acquiring, gateways, orchestration, wallets)
- Proven experience in a consultative, customer-facing role (Solution Consulting, Pre-Sales, Advisory)
- Strong understanding of fraud prevention strategies and trade-offs (approval vs risk vs customer friction)
- Payment performance drivers (authorisation rates, routing, issuer behaviour)
- Data-driven decisioning and optimisation techniques
- Familiarity with payment orchestration platforms is a strong plus
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear business value and outcomes
- Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills
- Experience building ROI cases, value models, and business justifications
- Ability to challenge customer assumptions and lead strategic conversations
- Experience working with enterprise merchants in retail, eCommerce, or digital services
- Exposure to regulatory frameworks (PSD2, SCA, etc.)
- Data-driven mindset with ability to leverage analytics and insights to drive decisions
- Comfortable working in complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments
- Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Marketing)
