About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Implement, administer, and support security controls and technologies used to protect systems, networks, and data.
Monitor, evaluate, and maintain secured environments through established security tools, processes, and procedures.
Support investigation and remediation of security alerts, events, and vulnerabilities, and assist with internal security investigations as needed.
Contribute to documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks to support consistent security operations and incident handling.
Assist with security audits, evidence gathering, and remediation activities to minimize security risk and support policy compliance.
Partner with other technical teams to implement secure configurations and support operational improvements.
Participate in the on-call support rotation for security incidents, including alert triage, investigation support, escalation, and execution of established incident response procedures.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2–4 years of experience in security engineering, security operations, or a related technical discipline.
Working knowledge of security fundamentals, including access controls, system hardening, encryption concepts, monitoring, and network/security basics.
Ability to support operational security tasks, respond to alerts, follow documented procedures, and escalate appropriately.
Certifications may be preferred, but are not required.
Experience with SIEM, monitoring, vulnerability management, or endpoint security tools is preferred.
Familiarity with cloud security fundamentals in AWS, Azure, or similar environments is a plus.
Experience contributing to technical documentation, runbooks, or audit evidence collection is preferred.
