About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Territory Manager is responsible for growing the overall customer base by prospecting for new customers, focusing on Independent Hardware Retailers and Pro Dealer Retailers.
  • Work with the customer to increase total sales volume within a defined geographic territory.
  • Execute the identified strategic initiatives and focus objectives for the field sales organization.
  • Manage the customer relationship and will be the liaison between the customer and Emery Jensen.
  • Analyze each retailer and develop specific customer strategies based on customer needs.
  • Attend industry related trade shows as necessary.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5‐ years of Business to Business sales experience preferred.
  • Hardware sales experience a plus.
  • Excellent listening and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking abilities with an emphasis on developing a sales growth plan and the ability to insure implementation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Extensive travel required including overnight travel.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred.
