About the role

  • You talk with users, listen closely, identify patterns, bring structure to complex topics, and help the product team solve the right problems
  • You conduct interviews with users, tax advisors, and other relevant target groups in Germany
  • You identify pain points, misunderstandings, and untapped opportunities across the user journey
  • You structure qualitative and quantitative insights so they are directly usable by Product, Design, and Engineering
  • You formulate clear problem statements and help prioritize opportunities and improvements
  • You work closely with our CPO and Product Owners on UX, clarity, and local relevance for the German market
  • You bring order to complex tax and product-related issues and translate them into clear requirements
  • You additionally support surveys, analyses, testing, and operational discovery processes as needed

Requirements

  • You have a strong interest in high-quality software products and in building them truly user-centered
  • You are excited by using technology to simplify the lives of 4 million self-employed people in Germany
  • You have a strong academic background or initial relevant practical experience in a demanding environment
  • German is your native language and you are proficient in English
  • You enjoy speaking with users and are skilled at listening, probing, and reading between the lines
  • You work in a structured, independent way with high standards of quality
  • You can quickly understand complex logic and document it clearly
  • You are detail-oriented, pragmatic, and not afraid to dive deep into product and business logic
  • You have strong drive for self-development and are willing to roll up your sleeves
