About the role
- Support patients and care teams across Standard and Complex Care models
- Supervise Med-Psych and Psych APCs and their care pods
- Provide virtual mental and physical health care via video, phone, and text
- Lead integrated behavioral health services for patients with mild to moderate mental health and substance use needs
- Act as the psychiatric consultant, collaborating with primary care and APCs
- Provide direct and consultative care for patients with serious mental illness and/or severe substance use disorders
- Ensure multidisciplinary care plans that reduce avoidable utilization and increase patients’ healthy days at home
Requirements
- MD or DO in Psychiatry with dual Board Certification in Psychiatry and Internal Medicine / Family Medicine
- Fellowship in consult liaison Psychiatry a plus
- Fellowship/additional training or experience in addiction medicine a plus
- Comfort and experience in managing both psychiatric and medical needs for patients
- Active Medical License in state of employment and willingness to obtain additional licensure as requested
- Experience building and leading multi-disciplinary teams, supervising clinical team members, and have held leadership and/or administrative roles in clinical organizations or other innovative care models
- Experience with change management and process improvement theory, techniques and practical application
- Experience using a metrics-driven approach to analyze cost, quality, and satisfaction data to drive clinical strategy and program redesign
- Comfort with working in an electronic medical record
- Valid unrestricted driver's license and access to an insured vehicle for daily use
- 3+ years in an outpatient mental health practice and/or primary care setting preferred
- Experience / additional training in Collaborative Care models preferred
- Experience supervising Advanced Practice Clinicians preferred
- Experience working in value-based care setting and/or managed care preferred
