About the role
- Lead and manage complex multi-function device implementation projects within a managed print services environment
- Contribute to development and delivery of new project management and support services focused on digital transformation
- Assist with workflow analyses, observations, and recommendations to optimize business processes
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans for device implementations and digital transformation initiatives
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure project milestones are met
- Manage on-site implementation resources, logistics, and associated activities at customer locations as needed
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Resolve project issues and escalate when necessary
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and comply with policies and client requirements
- Conduct post-project reviews and Lessons Learned sessions
- Utilize project management tools and software to track progress, manage tasks, and report on performance
- Contribute to development and refinement of project management tools, templates, and methodologies
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders including clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Coordinate and facilitate regular status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders including C-Level leadership
- Collaborate with Canon business units and functional teams to improve or implement new processes and technologies
- Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to culture of learning
- Collect and apply feedback from clients to improve processes and performance
- Support on-site and remote assessments of current-state workflows, including interviews, observations, and data collection
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation or digitization
- Develop and present recommendations for workflow improvements, technology solutions, and process redesigns
- Standardize device deployment and training processes
- Balance tactical project execution with strategic service development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in document management or managed print services
- Experience managing or supporting digital transformation projects
- Familiarity with Daptiv (or similar project management software) preferred
- Strong understanding of print workflows and paper-to-digital automation
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% nationwide
- Individual must possess a clean valid state driver's license in order to obtain the position
- This position requires driving, therefore a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are necessary. Additionally, because this position requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job, must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Project+ or equivalent project management certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred but not required.
- Six Sigma or similar process improvement training is a plus.
- Daptiv software training is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience interacting directly with clients at all organizational levels, including C-Level executives.
- High level of professionalism, adaptability, and customer service orientation.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to convey technical content and concepts simple and clearly.
- Clear, effective, precise written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency with MS O365 Suite, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Teams.
- Experience managing projects in a matrix environment.
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed based on customer requirements.
- Maintain a working knowledge of available Canon and/or partner/vendor hardware, equipment, solutions, and associated functionality.
- Requires long periods of walking/standing while working on location at customer sites.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
