About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create and maintain detailed test plans, cases, and Playwright scripts for both UI and API testing to ensure high test coverage and early defect detection
Contribute to the overall test strategy and apply best practices in scalable, maintainable, and high-performing automation
Continuously review and refine automation frameworks for speed, reliability, and flexibility across diverse use cases
Implement and maintain automated integration tests within CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent quality throughout the delivery cycle
Work closely with developers, testers, product managers, and business analysts to troubleshoot defects and align testing with project goals
Provide mentorship to mid-level and junior team members, conduct code reviews, and promote knowledge sharing across the QA team
Analyze test results, generate automation metrics, and communicate findings and insights to leadership and stakeholders
Tackle asynchronous behavior and complex workflows by leveraging Playwright’s advanced capabilities to improve test stability

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in Automation Test Engineering
Proven hands-on expertise with Playwright for UI and API automation using JavaScript, TypeScript, or a comparable language (e.g., Java, Python, C#)
Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS)
Strong experience in API testing , including tools and frameworks (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)
Hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium (or similar)
Experience with performance testing methodologies and tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust, LoadRunner)
Hands-on experience with CI/CD integration , including embedding automated tests in pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional collaboration
Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, X-Ray, TestRail, AQUA)
Experience with version control (Git)
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
