About the role
- Develop, coordinate, promote, and implement the client’s customer service goals and objectives.
- Provide proactive customer assistance and advocacy regarding utility billing issues.
- Serve as the spokesperson for the client on all issues with the media and various community groups.
- Actively participate in a community outreach program to promote the client’s goals and objectives with other governmental entities.
- Serve as a resource for builders and developers regarding connections within our service areas.
- Represent the client before other governmental agencies, including city and county commission meetings.
- Produce and coordinate publications, brochures, newsletters, videos, web information, and other materials.
- Initiate new strategies to improve existing efforts and advise program and project managers to enhance community relations.
- Develop strategies and methods to enhance and encourage public involvement.
- Prepare and present written and verbal communications for various audiences.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public administration, business, planning/community development, or a related field
- At least five (5) years of hands-on experience in customer/public assistance work
