About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain relationships and favorable contacts with current accounts and patients
  • Act as the single point of contact for assigned accounts
  • Respond to customer needs, concerns, and complaints
  • Consult with clients and referral sources on products and necessary equipment
  • Obtain and manage documentation for orders, service scheduling, billing, and payment
  • Manage account follow-up functions after setup
  • Contact patients to confirm orders and communicate financial obligations
  • Assess patient needs and promote company products and services during office visits
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues with medical groups and on-site departments
  • Explain contracted products and services to medical and provider groups
  • Assist with utilization processes and member transitions related to capitation switch-outs
  • Coordinate patient services with physicians and medical groups
  • Develop strategic institutional relationships to enhance patient care
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
  • Follow up on authorizations, CMNs, renewal CMNs, and prescriptions
  • Instruct patients on basic use of respiratory therapy, durable medical, oxygen, and other healthcare equipment within training and licensure limits
  • Respond to emergency calls and on-call needs during and outside regular business hours
  • Coordinate timely discharges with Customer Care and Branch Customer Service teams
  • Operate a personally owned vehicle for job functions
  • Set up and deliver home healthcare products and services
  • Perform other required duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma required
  • At least 2 years of related experience
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older at the time of hire
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain solid working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Must learn and comply with all personal vehicle requirements for safe and compliant use
  • Must participate in and successfully complete ongoing training and development
  • Must be geographically located within the assigned territory
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Basic skills in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, and Word
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Basic mathematical proficiency and ability to understand, interpret, and develop spreadsheet data
  • Ability to travel by plane and automobile if applicable
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely in varied weather and traffic conditions
  • Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • May be required to receive vaccinations and participate in medical assessments and testing
  • Must wear personal protective equipment consistent with role hazards
