About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sell all Apria products and services in the assigned sales territory
- Conduct daily sales calls to establish new and maintain ongoing business with medical-community referral sources
- Create and maintain call plans to qualify new and maintain existing referrals and grow the business
- Enter call plans and outcomes into the CRM system
- Use Apria reports and data to identify referral targets
- Partner with the Market VP to review territory call plans and achieve strategic goals
- Educate referral sources on the use and application of Apria products and services
- Resolve and follow up on customer concerns
- Partner with branch management, staff, and other functional areas to drive sales growth
- Communicate Medicare guidelines, private-insurance procedures, pricing, and product information to referral sources
- Maintain accurate records on prospective and active accounts and ensure information is sent to reimbursement offices for billing and collection
- Ensure billing documentation is complete and accurate
- Travel by plane and automobile as applicable
Requirements
What you’ll need- College degree or previous relevant job experience required
- 1–3 years of experience selling service or commodity products with demonstrated success
- External sales experience preferred
- Must possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance per Apria policy
- May be required to drive a personal vehicle
- Intermediate skills in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, and Word
- English reading, writing, and verbal skills
- Intermediate mathematical proficiency, including understanding, interpreting, and developing spreadsheet data
- Ability to travel by plane and automobile as applicable
- Customer/patient-focused approach
- Action-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to collaborate across functions and groups
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Ability to build relationships and networks of contacts
