About the role
- Identify, develop and maintain relationships with targeted Centers of Excellence, Hospitals, thought leaders and key influencers within assigned region.
- Align on mutually beneficial opportunities to advance patient care and accelerate access and market share for Acadia’s commercial organization.
- Identify business opportunities, develop complex approaches to account engagement, and execute against Acadia’s strategic imperatives.
- Identify, develop and advance relationships with influential and relevant Key Medical Experts.
- Understand patient journey and gaps in care to effectively educate on potential EHR interventions within Centers of Excellence and IDNs.
- Effectively implement the medication transitions of care process within Hospitals, including discharge order sets.
- Understand P&T processes for assigned IDNs and key institutions to assist in formulary access when implementing EHR interventions or medication transitions of care.
- Conduct IDN SPP QBRs to advance projects, overcome access barriers and identify future opportunities.
- Educate and actively engage Fellows and Residents to align on project development within Centers of Excellence, IDNs or Health Systems.
- Meet expected Brand and Access Objectives that result in market share growth while ensuring compliance with assigned targeted accounts.
- Record account information and competitive intelligence through available account management resources and tools.
- Create access and pull-through opportunities for the field sales organization within Centers of Excellence leading to increased compliance, market share and profits.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as US healthcare laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance to subordinates and/or manage department section, establish operational objectives, and select methods and evaluation criteria to obtain results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, account management, or hospital sales experience (Health Systems Manager level).
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in pharmaceuticals or life sciences for Senior Health Systems Manager.
- A minimum of 3 years in Institutional, IDN/complex health system manager, or Regional Sales Manager with demonstration of National level leadership (Senior level).
- Strongly preferred: Experience in CNS and Specialty Pharmacy.
- Strongly preferred: Experience with institutional and/or IDN/complex systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Smartsheet, CRM.
- Ability to analyze data, information and insight to define strategy.
- Ability to operate independently without strong support/guidance.
- Strong personal drive, problem solving, and innovation in fast-paced environments.
- Proven record of leadership without authority; ability to influence without authority.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and polished executive presence.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills with both external and internal matrix.
- Ability to conduct effective presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or timelines.
- Ability to travel 50-75% (role may require up to 75% travel).
- Required to live within a reasonable distance to a major airport.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
