About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the DTI team in identifying opportunities to apply AI-driven solutions to improve business processes and workflow efficiency.
Assist in the design, prototyping, and support of AI tools and applications for internal and client-facing use cases.
Analyze existing workflows and operational processes to identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
Support data analysis efforts involving structured and unstructured data to generate insights and inform decision-making.
Assist in validating AI-generated outputs for accuracy, consistency, and usability.
Troubleshoot operational and technical issues related to AI-supported tools and workflows under team guidance.
Document processes, methodologies, assumptions, and findings to support transparency, repeatability, and continuous improvement.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to support collaboration and understand business needs.
Conduct research on emerging AI tools, frameworks, and best practices relevant to organizational objectives.
Maintain accurate records of work, documentation, and progress across assigned tasks and projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must reside within reasonable local daily commuting distance to Denver, CO. While this position is remote, some onsite work is required.
Bachelor’s degree (in progress or completed) in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a closely related field.
1+ year experience with foundations of AI concepts such as machine learning, natural language processing, and automation
1+ year experience with data analysis tools or platforms
1+ year experience or coursework involving programming (e.g., Python, SQL, R, or similar)
Demonstrated proficiency in MS365.
Educational GPA of 3.0 or higher from an accredited higher education program.
1+ year experience with hands-on work with AI tools, labs, simulations, or applied coursework
1+ year exposure to workflow automation, data analysis, or business process improvement
1+ year experience working in team-based or cross-functional environments
1+ year exposure to project coordination, documentation, or administrative support roles
Any experience participating in technical competitions or practical challenges (e.g., CCDC, NCL, hackathons)
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsored visa is required. We are not able to employ those located outside of the US.
Must pass company and any applicable client background check and reference check upon offer of employment.
