About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Review production schedules and work with Planning and Manufacturing to communicate priorities among Purchase Orders
Follow up on special requests or work orders from Sales or Management and identify anticipated delays supporting the shipping plan
Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions by communicating with departments and customers
Review production schedules for orders and report or record order status to identify production delays
Review, track, and monitor projected delivery timelines against customer promise dates
Prepare summary reports on order status for Sales, Customers, and Management
Maintain weekly visibility on part shortages
Negotiate with Howmet factories and customers regarding expedite fees and delivery date improvements
Contact third-party suppliers for delivery information on Purchase Orders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 3 years of experience in Purchasing or related experience
High School Diploma
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Employment eligibility verification required at hire
Visa sponsorship is not available
Bachelor degree preferred
Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel and Word
Intermediate spreadsheet, database, and other software application skills
Knowledge in sales or customer-related roles in aerospace fasteners or related industry
Ability to lawfully obtain access to export-controlled items
