About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a liaison to Howmet’s businesses and various customer groups
Coordinate and lead offshore teams in the support of the Oracle Global Data Warehouse
Investigate and resolve support issues
Champion process improvements
Coordinate technical work and support efforts across various infrastructure and application support teams
Demonstrate fundamental understanding of business applications, processes, and technology.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization, with leadership, customers, and 3rd party vendors
Oversee the deployment of customizations and enhancement requests and provide guidance to the developer teams.
Ensure that all system development, change control standards and compliance processes are followed.
Participate in and support system upgrades, deployments, and technology expansions.
Preserve and improve the cybersecurity posture by keeping the applications and their infrastructure up to date.
Manage small to large-scale projects working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage and track project schedules, monitor budgets, identify risks, and communicate clearly with partners from across the company.
Lead the discovery, planning and implementation of process improvements in individual or cross-functional areas of responsibilities for continuous optimization of support and testing
Collaborate with IT Business Architect to define and maintain application roadmaps.
Maintain ITIL artifacts (CMDB and support KB articles), architecture diagrams, audit, disaster recovery and various support documentations.
Pursue continuous learning consistent with the movement in the job requirements and changes in technology.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in Information Technology
Strong proficiency in writing and executing SQL
Working Knowledge of Data Warehousing, ETL processes and Data Security concepts
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
2+ years prior experience of supporting Data Warehousing solutions
Exposure or working knowledge of Oracle ERP modules - Finance, Project Accounting, Procurement, Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay
Experience with Oracle R12 (12.2), Oracle 19c databases, PL/SQL, SQL, Linux
Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to interact with customers, vendors, other IT professionals, and management.
Solid understanding of the software development life cycle
Out of the box thinking to evaluate alternate solutions
Solid leadership and organizational skills
Experience of working as a member of project team
