About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Produce accurate 2D/3D roof plans, elevations, and custom fabrication details using AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
Assist estimators by calculating precise square footage, pitches, and material take-offs based on architectural drawings.
Work hand-in-hand with project managers and field teams to troubleshoot design issues and adjust plans based on on-site conditions.
Ensure all shop drawings and project plans comply with industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and local building codes.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 1–2 years of drafting experience, ideally within the roofing, construction, or architectural industries.
High proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or industry-specific roofing CAD software.
Strong understanding of various roofing systems (e.g., TPO, EPDM, Metal, Shingle) and construction fundamentals.
Exceptional attention to detail, strong spatial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
