About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define reference architecture and integration strategy for a unified data center management platform.
Design robust connections between BMS, DCIM, CMMS, and adjacent systems (SCADA, IoT, analytics).
Establish standards for scalability, reliability, security, and 24/7 mission-critical performance.
Lead architecture reviews, mentor engineers, and drive cross-functional alignment.
Evaluate vendors and emerging tech; run proofs-of-concept; balance build vs. buy.
Translate operational pain points (energy efficiency, predictive maintenance, incident response) into scalable solutions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

8–10+ years systems/software architecture experience, including 5+ years in data center operations, critical infrastructure, or industrial OT environments.
Demonstrated leadership: led architecture for complex multi-system integrations; mentored senior engineers; influenced technical direction across teams.
Hands-on experience developing or integrating BMS, DCIM, and/or CMMS platforms (or very close analogs) in production.
Strong distributed systems & integration skills (APIs, event-driven architectures, high-availability design, time-series data).
Deep knowledge of data center fundamentals: power, cooling, capacity planning, environmental monitoring, and operational workflows.
Excellent communicator who bridges technical and operational stakeholders.
