About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct market benchmarking and modeling using appropriate peer groups to support compensation program design and decision-making
  • Set the cadence for refreshing compensation bands and own the process end-to-end
  • Provide informed compensation perspectives, including executive compensation and frameworks
  • Translate compensation data into actionable explanations for executives and hiring managers
  • Advise on sales and other GTM compensation design, including OTE structuring
  • Partner with Finance and Recruiting to design and govern salary structures, incentive plans, and exception criteria
  • Own the clean flow of compensation data to Finance for budgeting
  • Build scalable compensation frameworks, tools, and governance
  • Track market movement and trends in the AI space

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of compensation experience
  • Ideally experience at a high-growth tech or AI company
  • Real ownership of compensation program build, not just an analytical role
  • Deep Excel fluency, including modeling, VLOOKUP, and INDEX/MATCH
  • Ability to turn messy data into actionable business insights
  • Track record of building defensible benchmarking approaches and peer groups
  • Judgment to determine when standard compensation practices do not fit
  • Strong sales compensation fluency, including OTE design and bonus structuring
  • Knowledge of job matching, market pricing, leveling, job architecture, and cyclical compensation programs
  • Experience designing and owning compensation and equity frameworks at executive level across public and private company structures
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain dense analysis to business leaders
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; application asks whether visa sponsorship is required
