  • Role overview: Senior People Operations Generalist focused on immigration, compliance reporting, benefits administration, and leave management.
  • Own immigration processes end-to-end for employees and candidates, including visa applications, renewals, audits, and partnership with legal counsel.
  • Manage compliance programs, including audits, harassment prevention training, and other regulatory mandates.
  • Lead compliance reporting requirements such as EEO-1, VETS-4212, and state-specific filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Administer employee benefits and leaves, including health and wellness programs, paid and unpaid leaves (e.g., FMLA, ADA, parental), and benefits enrollments and renewals.
  • Partner on policy development and updates for a multi-state employee base.
  • Maintain internal documentation (policies, calendars, audit trails) and build scalable processes.
  • Support audits and respond to regulatory inquiries with organized documentation and process transparency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Payroll, Legal, Finance, and IT to deliver seamless employee experiences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in People Operations or HR roles with hands-on responsibility in immigration, compliance, and benefits.
  • Deep working knowledge of US immigration processes (H-1B, TN, O-1, Green Card, etc.) and experience coordinating with outside counsel.
  • Strong understanding of federal and multi-state compliance requirements, including leave laws, wage and hour rules, and training mandates.
  • Prior experience administering benefits and leave programs (including short- and long-term disability, FMLA, and local ordinances).
  • Experience owning compliance reporting processes and preparing data for audits or external filing.
  • Deep expertise in Rippling — built workflows, maintained data integrity, and optimized platform reporting and documentation.
  • Track record of writing and maintaining employee policies and handbooks across multiple states.
  • High attention to detail and ability to independently prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
