- Role overview: Senior People Operations Generalist focused on immigration, compliance reporting, benefits administration, and leave management.
- Own immigration processes end-to-end for employees and candidates, including visa applications, renewals, audits, and partnership with legal counsel.
- Manage compliance programs, including audits, harassment prevention training, and other regulatory mandates.
- Lead compliance reporting requirements such as EEO-1, VETS-4212, and state-specific filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Administer employee benefits and leaves, including health and wellness programs, paid and unpaid leaves (e.g., FMLA, ADA, parental), and benefits enrollments and renewals.
- Partner on policy development and updates for a multi-state employee base.
- Maintain internal documentation (policies, calendars, audit trails) and build scalable processes.
- Support audits and respond to regulatory inquiries with organized documentation and process transparency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Payroll, Legal, Finance, and IT to deliver seamless employee experiences.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in People Operations or HR roles with hands-on responsibility in immigration, compliance, and benefits.
- Deep working knowledge of US immigration processes (H-1B, TN, O-1, Green Card, etc.) and experience coordinating with outside counsel.
- Strong understanding of federal and multi-state compliance requirements, including leave laws, wage and hour rules, and training mandates.
- Prior experience administering benefits and leave programs (including short- and long-term disability, FMLA, and local ordinances).
- Experience owning compliance reporting processes and preparing data for audits or external filing.
- Deep expertise in Rippling — built workflows, maintained data integrity, and optimized platform reporting and documentation.
- Track record of writing and maintaining employee policies and handbooks across multiple states.
- High attention to detail and ability to independently prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
