Abridge

Founding Forward Deployed Product Manager

Abridge

Founding Product Manager at healthcare AI company Abridge. Leading engagements with health system partners to drive product outcomes and improvements in clinical documentation.

About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Run discovery on-site at our partner accounts. Meet with the executive sponsor, clinicians, and integration teams to scope the engagement and define success before any code is written.
  • Lead a small pod through focused, sprint-style engagements, protecting pod focus and pace.
  • Own the product and feature answer for the engagement, partnering with Partner Success on the broader commercial relationship.
  • Decide what gets built, what gets declined, and what gets routed to the core roadmap. Hold the line on bespoke requests that don't generalize back to the core product.
  • Partner with internal product and engineering teams when an engagement surfaces a net-new product build that belongs on a different track.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of product management experience shipping products that users love, with a track record of owning product areas end-to-end.
  • Builder mentality. You've personally driven products from discovery through launch and iteration. You care about craft and quality in what you ship.
  • Strong user empathy and product taste. You instinctively know the difference between a product that works and one that delights.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. You can take a messy problem space and create a clear roadmap without waiting for perfect information.
  • Cross-functional credibility. You can go deep with engineers on technical tradeoffs, partner with design on interaction details, and operate as the senior product voice in front of CMOs, CMIOs, CIOs, and CFOs.
  • Track record of running time-bound, outcome-oriented engagements where the deliverable was a live system, not a document.
  • Willingness to travel ~20% on average, with surge periods around engagement kickoff and go-live.
