About the role

  • Manage all aspects of compromise & release agreements within the workers’ compensation practice area
  • Draft, review, and edit Compromise & Release agreements
  • Audit supporting materials to verify settlement figures and terms
  • Maintain organized settlement files
  • Evaluate case facts to confirm settlement readiness
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams regarding C&R-related matters
  • Prepare settlement packets and submit C&Rs to the WCAB for approval
  • Maintain working knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements in the workers' compensation system
  • Provide feedback and implement improvements for internal C&R workflows

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active member of the California State Bar (in good standing)
  • 1–3+ years of legal experience; prior experience in workers' compensation (applicant or defense) with strong familiarity in C&R processes is preferred
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of documents efficiently
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with fellow attorneys and staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
