About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing and Website teams to improve website visibility through SEO and GEO strategies.
  • Optimize existing website content for search engines and AI-driven search experiences.
  • Restructure web content using clear heading hierarchies and logical information architecture.
  • Implement schema markup and structured data best practices to improve search visibility.
  • Enhance content readability, relevance, and authority across key service pages.
  • Identify opportunities to improve AI citation potential and visibility within AI-generated search results.
  • Conduct keyword and competitive research to identify content optimization opportunities.
  • Monitor SEO performance using analytics and reporting tools.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics, including search rankings, organic traffic, and AI Overview visibility.
  • Stay informed on emerging SEO, GEO, and AI search trends and recommend new optimization strategies.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently enrolled in a Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Business, or related post-secondary program.
  • Strong interest in SEO, digital marketing, content strategy, and AI-powered search technologies.
  • Excellent written communication and editing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or similar SEO tools is considered an asset.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, structured data, or schema markup is an asset.
