About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive the full product lifecycle of applied AI systems—from problem framing and model selection to robust implementation, automated evaluation, and scalable production deployment.
Act as the definitive technical lead for your product areas. Mentor engineers, conduct rigorous code reviews, and elevate the team's shipping velocity and engineering standards.
Collaborate closely with product, operations, clinical, and compliance teams to ensure AI solutions are safe, trustworthy, and practical for real-world care applications.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of non-internship experience in software engineering and applied AI/ML engineering, with a proven track record of shipping products from concept to production.
High proficiency in Python and extensive experience operating within modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
Deep, hands-on experience deploying, monitoring, and scaling LLM applications. Must possess strong expertise in:
- RAG architectures and agentic workflows
- Model fine-tuning and automated performance measurement
- Data processing and orchestration workflows
- Human-in-the-loop AI pipelines
Demonstrated ability to establish best practices for data security, particularly designing privacy guardrails for LLMs.
Experience in highly regulated environments or healthcare data compliance (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2) is highly desirable.
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
