About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive the full product lifecycle of applied AI systems—from problem framing and model selection to robust implementation, automated evaluation, and scalable production deployment.
  • Act as the definitive technical lead for your product areas. Mentor engineers, conduct rigorous code reviews, and elevate the team's shipping velocity and engineering standards.
  • Collaborate closely with product, operations, clinical, and compliance teams to ensure AI solutions are safe, trustworthy, and practical for real-world care applications.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of non-internship experience in software engineering and applied AI/ML engineering, with a proven track record of shipping products from concept to production.
  • High proficiency in Python and extensive experience operating within modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
  • Deep, hands-on experience deploying, monitoring, and scaling LLM applications. Must possess strong expertise in:
  • - RAG architectures and agentic workflows
  • - Model fine-tuning and automated performance measurement
  • - Data processing and orchestration workflows
  • - Human-in-the-loop AI pipelines
  • Demonstrated ability to establish best practices for data security, particularly designing privacy guardrails for LLMs.
  • Experience in highly regulated environments or healthcare data compliance (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2) is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
